Our Food4Kids Halton and @food4kidsontario staff teams had a blast volunteering at the @headforthehillscraft today!

Thanks to the four service clubs of Georgetown (Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis & Kinsmen) who united to launch Georgetown’s first ever Craft Beverage Festival in 2015 and it’s still going strong today!!

Thanks to all of the volunteers and all the guests who came out to enjoy the outdoors and support great causes!

Head for the Hills is entirely volunteer-run and benefits local charities.

Beverage + charity = win. Now a well-established event in our community, Head for the Hills is a late-Summer staple not to be missed. And 100% of proceeds go to local charities supported by the four service clubs. Their feature charities are Food4Kids Halton, a group that provides nutritious food for schoolchildren across Halton to take home over the weekend, and Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH), a group that provides support and services for cancer patients and their families. They also support Distress Centre Halton, the Townsend Smith Foundation, and Community Alliance Reaching Everyone (C.A.R.E.).

They have raised over $500,000 and donated right back into our community.

We simply can’t thank you enough!

Miss. Livia came to our office yesterday to drop off a $500 cash donation. In lieu of gifts on her 10th birthday, Livia collected money to support feeding kids. Initially she thought of donating to a program outside of Canada, but then she decided that she wanted to support kids in her own city. Livia, thank you for this beautiful gift!

We are so grateful to the Southern Ontario Toyoda Enthusiasts Club for their ongoing commitment to the work of Food4Kids Halton. They have done a number of food drives on our behalf.

At their August event, $860 worth of food was collected. The value of the food that Food4Kids Halton can use is $560 and the remainder was donated to the Food for Life in Milton.
